Roton instabilities in the superfluid outer core of neutron stars

We study the superfluid dynamics of outer core neutron stars by means a generalized hydrodynamic model made neutronic and protonic superconductor, coupled both dynamic entrainment Skyrme SLy4 nucleon-nucleon interactions. The resulting nonlinear equations motion are probed in search for dynamical instabilities triggered relative superfluids that could be potential relevance to observational features stars. Through linear analysis, origin expected growth is explored varying nuclear-matter density. Differently from previous findings, dispersion excitations our shows rotonic structures below pair-breaking energy threshold, which lies at eventually lead emergent vorticity along with modulations
